Our degree programmes are 180 UK Higher Education credit units.

An exit award provides recognition of completion of a number of UK HE credits, when you have not completed a full Master's programme. It means you can exit your programme with a Postgraduate Certificate after completing 60 UK HE credit units (four modules), or a Postgraduate Diploma after 120 UK HE credits (eight modules).

While a Master's degree will help to open doors with employment as well as study, you'll need to check the specific entry requirements of the programme and institution you are interested in to find out if our programmes are acceptable for entry.

For our MBA, MSc Computer Science and MSc Psychology programmes, the dissertation will be 6000 words. For our MA Education programmes you will complete a Research Project which is 6000 words.

Your degree certificate will not state you have studied online and will look the same as those of students who study on campus. Your degree transcripts will however state that your modules were studied online.

No. Our degree programmes are not third party accredited.

You may be required to demonstrate evidence of your English language ability, if it is not your first language. We accept:
  • IELTS at 6.0 overall with no individual component below 5.5
  • TOEFL overall minimum 60
  • PTE Academic overall minimum 50
  • Cambridge (CAE & CPE) overall 169 with minimum scores of 162 in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.
  • A degree qualification taught in English
  • Evidence that you work in a company where English is the first language
  • High school qualifications in English
  • Completion of a Duolingo test with an overall score of 105 with no subscore less than 95

Yes. You will need a minimum of 2 years' relevant work experience to be considered for entry into our programmes if you do not hold a recognised undergraduate degree and this will be considered by our application team.

For our online programmes, you may be able to transfer a maximum of 60 credits (4 modules) from the taught modules, this cannot be applied towards the major project or Dissertation. Our degree programmes are entirely online – you will not require a visa while you study with us.

You will need to provide academic transcripts as evidence of your education, as well as proof you meet the English language requirements and of work experience (where needed). You may also need to provide residency documents and proof of name change, if your name has changed from previous qualifications.

Yes, you can change the programme you've applied to if this is within the same pathway. For example if you're moving from one MSc Computer science programme to another, your offer can be updated. If you are looking to move to a different programme (e.g. MBA) you will need to withdraw and reapply. Yes, you can defer for a maximum of six months from the start date of your offer.

Our tuition fees vary by programme and are displayed at the top of each programme page. Find and select your programme to view its cost.

For our online programmes, you will need to pay for your first module before the start date of the programme. The payment deadline will be provided on your enrolment invite. Please note if you are applying for Student Finance, you will need to pay for your first module upfront. If preferred, you will also have the option to pay for all modules upfront. Where you are unsure of the next payment deadline, please reach out to our Enrolment Team.

Payments can be made via eVision, as part of the enrolment process once you receive your invite to enrol. Please note any payments made outside of eVision will be refunded and will delay you starting your studies.

Unfortunately, you cannot pay your tuition fees in instalments. You can however pay per module to help break up the cost of your programme.

You can pay your fees by credit or debit card and must make a single payment on a single card or through Paypal. The University does not accept payments by bank transfer.

No, students on our online degree programmes pay the same fees regardless of location.

Students based in the UK may be eligible for a postgraduate loan. Visit gov.uk/masters-loan to check your eligibility.

Yes they can pay your fees either per module, per year or in full. Your employers will need to complete a Sponsor form, which will be provided as part of your application.

Unfortunately, we do not offer scholarships for our online degree programmes.

Yes, if you have completed an undergraduate programme at 2:2 or above with us you are eligible for a 10% discount.

The University uses Canvas as its online learning management platform.

You will have access to a messenger service in Canvas, our online learning management platform, where you will be able to get in touch and interact with your classmates.

All online courses are designed for weekly module participation, and students will need to engage in study each week to stay fully involved in tutor and student discussions. Each module is worth 15 credits and is designed to need 150 hours’ (or roughly 19 hours per week) study in each of the eight weeks. Dissertation and Research Project modules are 30 credits, and require 300 hours of study over a longer period of 16 weeks.

For our online programmes there are two breaks in teaching built into each year of the programme – two weeks in the summer and two in the winter. These can vary from year to year however. The programme design allows you to take up to six additional study breaks if needed. You should seek advice from the Student Success team on how these will affect your progress before taking these.

The learning in our programmes is mostly theory-based. You can find out more detail in the module descriptions on each programme's page.

There were be multiple points of assessment in each module. Assessment methods will be varied to include formats such as online quizzes, reports and essays, case studies, projects, portfolios of work, reflective statements and reflective portfolios, strategic plans, presentations (both written and recorded) and journals. There will be a mixture of individual and group-work activities. Formative assessments will be provided early in each module to monitor your understanding, there will also be summative assessments. Our programmes are specifically designed for online study, online (pre-recorded) video lectures will critically outline general concepts, theories and principles. You will be able to watch the videos at your own learning pace. Online (pre-recorded) video seminars and activity-based sessions will use real-life examples to bridge relevant theories with practice. Either online quizzes or online discussion participation through a discussion board will be used to encourage and stimulate your online collaboration and learning progression.

Course content updates can vary depending on module and programme reviews, as well as change of teaching content and feedback.

In addition to paying tuition fees, you may be required to pay for textbooks for your online Masters programme where online resources are not available. These could be e-books or physical textbooks.

All coursework and assessments are completed online, so you will not need to travel to undertake your studies.

No. These programmes are delivered as asynchronous learning. This means there are no live parts of the programme, so you can study in your free time. The programme's student success coordinators and your academic supervisor will however, be able to monitor your engagement with the programme. No engagement for a lengthy period will be considered a potential challenge to your success hence please allow for relevant support.
